We are all adjusting to the new normal, and staying safe at home has never been more important. And we are focused on our homes and our home furnishings more than ever before.
COVID-19 has forced us inside to reevaluate the way we use our homes. With so many families working from home, the most immediate need is the home office. We are creating organized, well-lit home offices that get the job done while looking great too.
“Zooming” has opened up our homes for everyone to see, causing us to be more attuned to the flaws in our homes, realizing it’s time to update or address the issues we’ve been overlooking. Whether it is doing the kitchen renovation that’s been put off for years or replacing the old and worn sofa, now is the time.
During this pandemic, we have become more anxious and uncertain. We long for calm and comforting surroundings.
As an interior designer, I love helping my clients discover fresh new looks for their homes, focusing on both function and form. Bringing in colors and textures that mimic nature is encouraged, giving my clients a sense of reassurance and comfort.
Sometimes it’s as simple as rearranging the furniture, moving furniture from one room to another, or changing the way we use a room. Turning the once formal dining room into a home office or study for the kids to do their schoolwork is an excellent option. The Master Bedroom, once forgotten, is now a sought-after sanctuary.
With our families having so much together time, it’s nice to have a place to escape. An oasis that is there for you to rest, relax, and rejuvenate. Make it reflect just how important you are.
Whether you are starting from scratch on a new home or working on your existing home, myself and Tuscany Fine Furnishings are here to help.
